New visual identity and website

EnviroGene (www.envirogene.co.uk) has developed molecular diagnostics and nanoparticle tracing technology applicable to the fields of surface water quality, groundwater bioremediation monitoring, and upstream oil and gas activities. As part of the Company's strategy for growth and expansion into new markets, College Hill was commissioned to design, copywrite and build a new website along with accompanying promotional literature.

Objectives

  • Create a new website to enable clear communication about EnviroGene's services and technology.
  • Allow easy customer access and straightforward updating in house.
  • Advise on the navigation structure to help achieve the best journey for visitors.
  • Adapt and extend the existing corporate identity to better fit the company position and offering and apply across website and other materials.

Our Approach

  • A brainstorming meeting with EnviroGene's management team was held to discover the key messages to be communicated in the new website and to establish the design direction and technical specifications for the website.
  • College Hill's creative team produced a selection of designs that captured the core personality and clearly positioned the Company.
  • A navigation structure was suggested and imagery used to highlight each service offered by the Company.
  • New copy was developed for the site and training provided for website population and editing.
  • Accompanying materials in the form of corporate factsheets, folder, and case study designs were developed in line with new website.
  • As part of College Hill's hosting of the website, the client receives viewer analysis to help steer future website strategy.

Results

The new website was well received by EnviroGene staff, and clearly communicates the range of services and technologies offered by the Company.
